Terry Harris

Mediator

Terry Harris is a lawyer and a mediator in private practice with a special interest in injury litigation. He graduated from the University of Victoria Law School in 1983 where he served as student President. He was called to the B.C. Bar in 1984. He has co-ordinated four Personal Injury Damages Update courses for CLE. He is a trainer at the Justice Institute where he developed and delivers the Civil Procedure Course for mediators seeking listing on with the B.C. Roster Society as well as other courses for mediators.

Terry holds the Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. He has completed and regularly instructs or coaches in the mediator training of the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C and the Justice Institute of B.C. He brings to mediation a unique mix of experience from his work as the Director of a crisis line, a marriage counsellor, a street youth worker, a police constable, a juvenile detention unit supervisor, and twenty years at the Bar concentrating in injury litigation.
