From the Justice Institute Calendar, Website text: CoursThis course is equivalent to Dealing with Interpersonal Conflict, but focuses on workplace conflict situations. The course explores the dynamics of conflict, both generally and in the work environment. Participants assess their own conflict style and broaden their range of ways to resolve conflicts effectively. Emphasis is on effective communication and on skills, concepts and approaches for collaborative conflict resolution. This course will be of particular value to managers and supervisors who wish to expand their leadership skills. This is a highly participatory course with an emphasis on increasing self-awareness and skill development through structured exercises and simulations. Students are encouraged to bring a VHS videotape to record their role-play on the final day of the course. This course is equivalent to CR110A and is a prerequisite for all other required courses.
